I am trying to hook up a 12′ Pioneer with the stock chevorlet CD player, but there is nowhere to hook the remote wire or the RCA wires?
Cody, technically you could connect your 1998 Chevrolet Silverado amplifier turn on wire to the radio switched 12v+ wire. That way your amplifier is on whenever your 1998 Chevrolet Silverado is on and off whenever your 1998 Chevrolet Silverado is off. As for your RCA wires, you will require a line out converter. A line out converter will allow you to provide an aftermarket amplifier with an audio signal via RCA wires. Here is the Line-Out Converter you need:

If you’ve never installed car audio before, we advise you to take your car to an experienced mobile audio installer. Hope this helps. Good luck.
So I’m installing a sub into a 98 chevy pickup extended cab. I’ve got everything ready to go except for the amp turn on signal. The stock head unit has to stay, if i put anything else it will get stolen for sure, at least i built a sneaky stealth box for the sub. Anyway I dont want to pull out the head unit and running a wire from the 12v cigarette lighter is my last resort. Anyone know of a 12v accessory wire in the driver side threshold i could tap into. I want this to be a clean install (obviously) but most of all when I pass this truck down to my brother i want to be able to take my sub with me and not leave a mess in the truck.
Dave, technically you could connect your 1998 Chevy Pickup amplifier turn on wire to the accessory 12v+ wire located in the steering column at the ignition switch harness. That way your amplifier is on whenever your 1998 Chevy Pickup is on and off whenever your 1998 Chevy Pickup is off. Just make sure to run an in-line fuse holder with a 1-amp fuse on the amplifier turn on wire. Hope this helps. Good Luck.

James, there is an adapter that allows you to use the AUX input on a factory 1998 Chevrolet Silverado C2500 stereo to connect your Apple iPod. The adapter uses the socket where the CD Changer harness is plugged into. Here is the Apple iPod adapter harness you need:
