  1. Hoa, as much as we would like to help you, not all car alarms are installed the same way. Different brands and different setups will call for different wiring and programming. Our advice is to take your car to a qualified alarm installer and ask them to troubleshoot your car alarm because it does take some wiring knowledge and experience to know what to do. Hope this helps. Good luck on your 1997 Chrysler LHS car alarm troubleshooting.

  2. i disconnected the battery to turn off the alarm because i could not locate the remote. i found the remote n reconnected the battery and turned the alarm off. now my car thinks im stealing it and it wont start. can u help? thanks

  3. Burl, the easiest way to remedy your car alarm problem would be for an experienced alarm installer to troubleshoot your alarm system. Hope this helps. Good luck.

  4. Thanks for your comment and it surely makes sense. However, my problem is not when the vehicle is on the road, it is when it’s parked in the carport and during the night the alarm goes off when no one has touched the car.

  5. Burl, it sounds like your shock sensor is too sensitive. When you have a shock sensor thats too sensitive, passing cars or road noise can cause your alarm to trigger. Have your alarm installer reduce the sensitivity on the shock sensor and you should be okay. Hope this helps. Good luck

  6. The alarm will sound and lights flash on my 1997 Town & Country for no apparent reason. Usually during the night. I have checked the sensors and haven’t come up with an answer. Any suggestions?

  7. Angie, we suggest you take your car to the dealer and have them call an experienced alarm installer to troubleshoot your alarm problem. There are many reasons why your alarm may be going off and the only sure way of knowing is to have someone look at it. Hope this helps. Good luck.
