The stereo in my Z71 won’t come on. There is no display! The numbers light up but I can’t get the stereo to do anything! I tried a CD, tried the tape player even the radio, Nothing HELP!!
Ferris, it sounds like you blew a fuse or two. Double check ALL your fuses using a Automotive Fuse Tester because certain vehicles may have a wire tied into another circuit not labeled as car radio. You may have additional fuse boxes by the driver side of the dash, passenger side of the dash, driver kick panel, passenger kick panel, under the steering column or under the hood. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 1997 Chevrolet Silverado Z71 radio troubleshooting.
My stereo was stolen and my harness snatched along for the ride. I was looking for info on a switch wire and saw some posts saying the harness was a must have. Any help?
