Can you tell me where i can wire in a MP3 player plug inn…?
Julian, most vehicles require an adapter to hook up a MP3 player to a factory stereo. Unfortunately, as far as we know, there are no adapters available for a 1996 Toyota 4Runner. Hope this helps. Good luck.
My 1996 Toyota 4runner audio system (radio/tape) has no sound. Everything else works (display, antenna, changes stations). I suspect the amplifier which I think is mounted diresctly behind and below the radio and plugs into the back of the radio.
Richard, first double check ALL your fuses and make sure ALL your fuses are good. You can do this by pulling each fuse and making sure it is not blown. If all of your fuses are good, your factory amplifier is faulty. We suggest you take your car to an experienced audio installer and have them troubleshoot your problem. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 1996 Toyota 4Runner audio output troubleshooting.
is their more than one fuse box?
My son, stationed at Ft Eustis, VA, is adding an aftermarket stereo to his ’96 Toyota 4Runner Limited, but the wiring harness that every website and vendor sells does not match his OEM harness. Any ideas, other than bypassing the harness and direct wire using your wire harness diagram? Thanks in advance
