  1. Adrian, it would be hard to say what is the problem without testing. What we can say is that is a slight possibility that the driver door switch is malfunctioning because the driver door switch may operate differently when the car is on and when the car is off. Our guess is that they may have tapped the door trigger wire incorrectly. Make sure that the door trigger wire coming from the alarm is tapped into the purple wire located at the headlight switch harness and make sure the alarm is set to read a negative door trigger (NOT positive). Hope this helps. Good luck with your alarm troubleshooting.

  2. I had a Viper 9500 Responder install in my 95′ GMC Suburban. The driver side door does not function with the alarm. When I open the driver door the interior light does not turn on; it will turn on when I open the other passenger doors. When I had the factory keyless entry fob it turned on the light when I press the unlock button. Is there some sort of special wiring for the driver door? Best Buy does not seem to kow what to do about this situation. They are telling me that the driver door switch is malfunctioning which is not true because when I open the driver door with the engine running the vehicle will chime indicating the driver door is open. Please help.
