I need to remove the factory alarm,on my 93 jeep grand cherokee its driving me nuts,but cant find a wiring diagram for it. CAN YOU HELP PLEASE
Steven, as much as we would like to help you, not all car alarms are installed the same way. Different brands and different setups will call for different wiring. Our advice is to take your car to a qualified alarm installer and ask them to remove the alarm because it does take some wiring knowledge and experience to know what to remove. Hope this helps. Jay, it sounds like your radio has a faulty knob or your radio is starting to go. Our advice is to replace it with an aftermarket stereo before your stock radio dies. Hope this helps. Good luck.
about the factory alarm on the jeep….
1. disconnect your negative battery cable
2. remove the bottom plate out of the glove box
3. under the glove box will be a black box disconnect it
4. connect negative battery cable… if alarm goes off remove negative cable plug alarm in and disconnect again
