Im trying to install an amp and sub on my 1993 dodge stealth es. Is there any holes in the firewall that I can run the positive wire through or do I have to drill one myself?
Josh, most vehicles have a factory hole with a rubber or plastic grommet at the firewall. This is usually the standard place to run a power wire through the firewall. If one of these holes are not available or not large enough, a hole will have to be drilled to accommodate your power wire. Choose something on the engine side of the firewall as reference and try to match it up on the interior side of the firewall. This will make sure you do not drill through anything important. Then drill a hole somewhere near or beside your reference point. Make sure to use a firewall grommet to prevent the power wire from chaffing on the firewall that could potentially cause a short. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 1993 Dodge Stealth amplifier installation.
