Installing a Jensen Head (KD-S79BT) unit into a 1993 Imperial, replacing the factory unit, no matter how I connect up speaker wires I get no sound output, old unit works, but new unit no output. test the audio lines from new unit to tip and ring on headset, plenty of volume, but nothing when I connect to speakers, (as above Left front speaker (Green + and Green/yellow – to Jensen White + and White/Blk stripe -_ nothing, was there something special about the Infinity sound system installed in these Chryslers that I am missing?

David, first double check ALL your fuses and make sure ALL your fuses are good. You can do this by using an Automotive Fuse Tester and making sure all of your fuses are not blown. If all of your fuses are good, your 1993 Chrysler Imperial may have a factory amp that needs to be turned on by your after market radio. The car radio amplifier trigger wire has to be wired up to turn on your factory amplifier to output sound from your speakers. We currently do not have any information on the 1993 Chrysler Imperial amplifier turn-on wire but hopefully someone from our knowledgeable Modified Life community would be able to chime in and help you out.
