I have a 1993 Chevrolet corvette. I am removing the premium bose system and installing an aftermarket system. While looking at your wiring schematic for the car, i noticed you didnt have anything for the amp in the bose system. Can you hook it up to an aftermarket stereo? or do you have to eliminate it?

Lynn, you can either bypass the Bose amplifier or wire your new radio in to it. If you choose to bypass the amplifier, you would have to power the speakers directly. If you choose to use the Bose amp, you would have to turn on the amplifier via the new radio and provide audio signals to the amp. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Having issues powering the antenna on a ’94 Vette. I remember something about having to diode isolate two wires at the antenna to power it from an aftermarket radio, but can’t remember what wires they are. anyone have any info?

I am posting for a friend so please forgive me if I don’t have alot of info. Where is the factory amp located for a 1993 Corvette Coupe? And how much of a PITA is it to replace with an aftermarket one? Thanks for your help!!!

I’m installing a after market stereo in a 1993 corvette and I’m using a Amp/Tuner Bypass harness cable that I need to run from behind the passenger seat to the front. I was wondering where is a good place for a ground.

Mark, the best place to ground your aftermarket sound system would be on the bare metal of the chassis of your 1993 Chevrolet Corvette. Most installers find a factory bolt and use that location for a ground. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 1993 Chevrolet Corvette amplifier bypass wiring.
