i havent had the time to tear my radio out yet but i believe youre info will help quita bit and save me money. i do have one question though, ive read around and heard that if you dont have a code for the antitheft system in the radio that it wont work when you try to reinstall? does that matter if im installing an aftermarket radio (kenwood)?

  • Reply ModifiedLife August 2, 2010 at 4:45 pm

Paul, the anti-theft system only applies to your factory 1991 Mercedes 300SE radio. If you install an aftermarket radio you should be fine. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 1991 Mercedes 300SE stereo installation.

My 1991 300SE have factory 6 1/2″ Speakers in the rear. No Red and black rear wires in the left rear. Black and white. Other than that, pretty spot on. Thanks!
