Andrew, the radio constant wire always sends power to the radio to save your radio stations and other audio settings even when your car is off. The radio switched wire sends power to your radio only when the key is in the ignition and your car is on. You will need to wire both wire to the appropriate colors for your radio to work properly. Hope this helps. Good luck.

  2. Whats the difference between (Car Radio Constant 12v+ Wire: Orange) and (Car Radio Switched 12v+ Wire: Yellow) I have My Stereo Power hooked up to the Constant should it be on the Switched Yellow instead?

Dan, most people do not put the wries into the plug that plugs into the radio. Most installers splice the wires together. Hope this helps. Good luck.

I’m completely illiterate and oblivious when it comes to things like these, so i’ve got a question. If you’re putting wires into a plug that plugs into the actual radio, how do you know which hole each wire goes into? The holes are labeled A1 through A12 on the top half of the plug, and B1-B12 on the bottom half. Help????
